Kyle Wilson Named 2nd Team All-American by Walter Camp Football Foundation

BroncoSports: Kyle Wilson Named 2nd Team All-American by Walter Camp Football Foundation

BOISE, Idaho - Kyle Wilson joined a list of elite collegiate players today (Dec. 10) when he was named second team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

A senior cornerback from Piscataway, N.J., Wilson becomes just the second Boise State University player in the 120-year history of the football foundation to receive All-American honors.  In 2007, offensive tackle Ryan Clady was also a second team All-American selection.

Wilson is a four-year starter for the Broncos and recently received his second straight All-Western Athletic Conference first team award.

This season Wilson has made 40 total tackles and three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.  He has also been Boise State's primary punt returner again this year returning 20 punts for a 10.4 yards-per-return average.

In his career at Boise State, Wilson has made 151 career tackles, intercepted 11 passes and averaged 12.7 yards-per-punt return.  He has also returned three punts for touchdowns in his career.

Wilson will play his final game for the Broncos on Jan. 4 (Monday) when Boise State faces TCU in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.  Wilson is the only current member of the Boise State team to start the 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl when the Broncos handed Oklahoma a 43-42 overtime defeat.
