BOISE, Idaho - Boise State University and Washington State University jointly announced today (Feb. 19) a home-and-home football series beginning in 2016.
The Cougars will visit Bronco Stadium in Boise on Sept. 10, 2016, with the Broncos heading to Pullman, Washington on Sept. 9, 2017 to face the Cougars at Martin Stadium.
Boise State is 0-4 against Washington State with the Cougars winning games at Pullman in 1997 (58-0) and 2000 (42-35), and at Bronco Stadium in 1998 (33-21) and 2001 (42-20).
The Broncos have an all-time record of 4-11 against teams from the Pac-10 Conference, but in the past four seasons Boise State is 3-1 against Pac-10 schools. In that time period the Broncos have defeated Oregon State University (42-14 in 2006), lost to the University of Washington (24-10 in 2007) and posted back-to-back wins over the University of Oregon (37-32 in 2008 and 19-8 in 2009).
Boise State opens its 2010 season on Sept. 6 (Monday) against Virginia Tech University at Fed Ex Field just outside Washington D.C.
