<p>The Boise State University football team received its highest ranking in school history on Saturday (Aug. 21) when the Associated Press selected the Broncos third in its preseason top 25 poll.<br /><br />The Broncos received 1,336 points and one first place vote.&nbsp; Boise State's lone first place vote came from Joe Giglio of The Times &amp; Observer in Raleigh, North Carolina. <br /><br />Defending national champion Alabama as expected was in the No. 1 spot with the Crimson Tide receiving 1,491 points and 54 first place votes.&nbsp; Alabama was also the No. 1 selection in the USA Today Coaches' preseason poll.</p>

Schneider.&nbsp; Jeff  Caves and Andrew Paul will also serve as hosts on the local pre-game show on KBOI 670 AM.</p>
<p>"Bob and Pete teamed together last year in the broadcast booth.&nbsp; It's great to have them back this year," Boise State Athletics Director Gene Bleymaier said.&nbsp; "Bob is the ultimate professional, while Pete is one of our former players that can take people into the huddle and help break the game down."</p>

<p><strong>DENVER, Colo.</strong> &ndash; Kellen Moore, quarterback for the Boise State University football team, has been named the 2009-10 Western Athletic Conference Joe Kearney Award winner as the outstanding male student-athlete in the WAC.<br /><br />The award, which is given annually to the top male and female student-athlete in the conference, is named in honor of former WAC Commissioner Joe Kearney who guided the league from 1980-94. Moore becomes just the second Bronco to win the award.&nbsp; Two-time NCAA National Champion javelin thrower Gabriel Wallin also earned the award for the 2004-05 season. <br /><br />Amber Kaufman, a multi-sport student-athlete at the University of Hawai&rsquo;i won the award for the women. <p>BOISE, Idaho - The 2010 college football season may still be months away, but that hasn't stopped the buzz surrounding Boise State following a perfect 14-0 season in 2009. On Monday (June 21) more national recognition came in for the Broncos as Boise State received another top-five preseason ranking while two players were also named to prestigious individual award watch lists.<br /><br />Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook announced its preseason top-25 rankings this week, which features Boise State as the No. 3 overall team heading into the fall. The only teams earning higher rankings than the Broncos were Ohio State (No. 1) and Alabama (No. 2). Blue Ribbon also honored Boise State junior quarterback Kellen Moore by selecting him as one of five players to be featured on the publication cover. Moore was joined by Mark Ingram (Alabama, RB), Ryan Mallett (Arkansas, QB), Case Keenum (Houston, QB) and Terrelle Pryor (Ohio State, QB).<br /><br />The Blue Ribbon poll is the sixth since the end of the 2009 season that is projecting Boise State to open next season in the top-five.
