BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Head Football Coach Chris Petersen announced the signing of 18 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent Wednesday (Feb. 1).

Today's signees increase the total number for the class of 2012 to 24. 

Six student-athletes enrolled in classes in January 2012.  They include freshmen Tyler Gray (Templeton, Calif.); Elliot Hoyte (Tavistock, England); Nick Patti (Orlando, Fla.); and Hayden Plinke (Hillsboro, Ore.), along with junior college transfers Demarcus Lawrence (Aiken, S.C.) and Connor Peters (Antioch, Calif.)  Lawrence and Peters are both sophomores.

The state of California once again produced the most new Broncos with 11.  Six are coming to Boise State from the state of Texas along with two from Oregon.  Colorado, Florida, Idaho and South Carolina each have one.

Tyler Gray (Templeton, Calif.), Elliot Hoyte (Tavistock, England), Nick Patti (Orlando, Fla.) and Hayden Plinke (Hillsboro, Ore.) have joined junior college transfers Demarcus Lawrence (Aiken. S.C.) and Connor Peters (Antioch, Calif.) on Boise State's spring 2012 roster.

Lawrence and Peters signed National Letters of Intent and were announced last month.

All six are enrolled in and are attending classes at Boise State.

Mobile, AL. (Dec. 29) - The nation's all-time winningest quarterback will headline a stellar senior group of Boise State Broncos in next month's Senior Bowl. Kellen Moore will join running back Doug Martin, defensive back George Iloka and defensive lineman Billy Winn on the North squad in the 2012 Senior Bowl.

 All four players have officially accepted invitations to the senior showcase event, it was announced today. The 2012 Senior Bowl is set for 3 pm (CT) on January 28th in Mobile's Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The game and all practices will be televised by NFL Network.

 "It's amazing what this group of seniors from Boise State accomplished over the course of their respective careers," Senior Bowl President and CEO Steve Hale said. "Not only are they a part of the winningest senior class in FBS history but they also are very deserving of the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the National Football League next month here at the Senior Bowl."

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Doug Martin rushed for 151 yards and returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown, giving No. 8 Boise State a lead 14 seconds into the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas on the way to a 56-24 win Thursday night.

Arizona State (6-7) never seriously threatened the Broncos (12-1), even though Boise State had three turnovers and allowed a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by the Sun Devils to start the second half.

Arizona State missed on several opportunities to make the game closer, wasting a bowl-record 241-yard receiving effort by Gerell Robinson, who caught a touchdown in the fourth quarter after the Broncos had already scored 49 points.

Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore - the NCAA's winningest player at the position - played well enough in his last college game to keep his team scoring, despite some missteps. He finished with 266 yards and two touchdowns, plus two interceptions and a fumble in a game that capped his college career with 50 total wins.

LAS VEGAS - The 20th edition of the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas will feature the highest-ranked team in its history facing a first-time visitor as No. 8/6 (AP/Coaches) Boise State of the Mountain West will play Arizona State of the Pac-12 Conference, Executive Director Tina Kunzer-Murphy announced Sunday. The game will be played Thursday, Dec. 22, at 5 p.m. PT, and aired on ESPN and ESPN3.

''We are ecstatic to offer this matchup to help celebrate our historic 20th year,'' Kunzer-Murphy said. ''Boise State fans have shown they love Las Vegas as not only did they help us mark our sixth consecutive sellout a year ago, but they also came down in droves for the Broncos' game vs. UNLV earlier this season. It's also exciting to be the site of the final collegiate game for the sport's winningest quarterback, Kellen Moore.

''We are also thrilled to finally host Arizona State from the Pac-12 side. The Sun Devils are a traditionally marquee program that we know is excited about playing in its first bowl game in four years. ASU has a strong following in Southern Nevada and their campus is just over 300 miles away from Las Vegas so we expect to see a lot of maroon and gold in the stands on December 22. Joining the Big East along with Boise State are San Diego State University (football only), the University of Houston, Southern Methodist University and the University of Central Florida (all-sports members). Long-term football membership also will include current Big East participants Connecticut, Cincinnati, Louisville, Rutgers and South Florida.

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State football team (11-1) has officially accepted an invitation to play in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas XX against Arizona State (6-6) of the Pacific-12 Conference, Dec. 22 (Thursday). Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. (MT) at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev., and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

The Broncos are ranked Nos. 6 and 8 in the USA Today Coaches and the Associated Press Polls, respectively. Boise State will be making its 10th-straight bowl appearance, tied for the 10th-longest active streak in the country.

The Sun Devils finished the 2011 regular season with an overall record of 6-6, and were tied for third in the Pac-12 South standings at 4-5.
