GEAR 6 PERFORMANCE AUTOMOTIVE, LLC
Idaho Licensed Vehicle Dealer - DLR #1441
03.2.2010 February 20th, 2010 Congrats! ..to our newest Gear 6 Performance owner, Gary who resides in Utah.. and has already had some good seat time in his new MKIII SPO 2972. This was a special order roller direct from the factory which meant some serious anxious waiting was in store while it crossed the ocean on its way to our shop. It was a pleasure to work with Gary and we look forward to hearing about all his car experiences.
Below are images prior to loading and transporting to Utah.. note those awesome 17" Kumho tires (dealer license for test driving). We understand during a gas station stop the new owner was approached by a professional photographer who took a 100 plus photos of his car! Can you say WhoooHooo!

This beautiful SPF MKIII SPO 2972 (Dark Silver/Silver) was unloaded back at our shop after a trip down to Irving, California this past weekend.. now prep work begins prior to transporting it to our installer for the build out. We'll be adding additionl images here & in the Image Gallery section when the car is finished & delivered to its new owner (Gary) in Salt Lake City. Stay tuned for updates..
Looking Good.. over the past weekend, new owner.. Gary from Utah, got a chance to see his new Superformance MKIII SPO2972 in person. He visited our shop and spent some time with Wayne going over all the details about the roller and finalizing build out options, which will be begin in the coming days, just the way he wants it.
It was such a pleasure to meet him and we can't wait to deliver his car when its finished. BTW, we think he looks pretty good sitting in the car, even if its still on the lift without an engine. LOL! It won't be long now!

January 8th, 2010 - Images prior to transporting this new Superformance MKIII SPO 2922 (Royal Blue w/ White) to its new owner in snowy Montana.. a car guy who has a great appreciation for serious horse power. We're keeping our fingers crossed you get an early spring.. and yes, delivering the car with snow on the ground was challenging & fun. LOL!
When you do get the opportunity, enjoy the ride. WhoooHooo!

This build out features a rare authentic 427 FE side oiler with cast iron medium riser heads, dual four carburetors - mounted backwards, Comp roller hydraulic cam, MSD ignition, Quick Time bell housing, McLeod clutch, TKO 600 road race transmission.
By the way, the block and heads are "NOS" (new old stock) that were found unused and the block is standard bore. Not many of these around any more!

01.5.2010 Congrats to our newest MKIII owner, Alan!
December 17th, 2009 - Images from our latest trip to Irvine, picking up a MKIII roller, for one of our customers (Alan), that had just arrived from the factory.. Sunset Red/Titanium. Due to bad weather conditions, including dense fog, our typical 15-16 hr trip took us 19 hrs and right in time for LA 5:00 o'clock traffic too, fun. So the pics are poor due to the dark conditions there when loading it in our trailer.

Our return trip was also hampered by dense fog in the mountain passes particularly.. we made it back safely. Once the roller was back in the shop, we did all the prep work (remove from skids, mount tires & wheels, balance tires, install sway bars, install mirrors, etc) before loading it up once again, for a short transport to Oregon, where the new owner was anxiously waiting for his Christmas present. Alan will be doing the buildout himself.. we can't wait to see the finished product. Thanks Alan & best of luck with your project!

09.25.2009 Below are pics of our trip over the past week-end transporting the Coupe back to its owner, in beautiful Oregon, who couldn't wait to drive it again.. happy motoring!
Superformance Shelby Daytona Coupe (Gear 6 Performance) :: Click to view larger ::
We had the SPF Shelby Coupe back in our shop recently for a few 'tweaks' like.. adjusting the ride height, which then required re-balancing the tires & alignment. The owner also requested heat wrapping the headers.. that has resulted in a significant reduction of heat in the engine bay, inside the car as well as reducing the noise, both results have made a happy customer.

The very kewl '56 'mild custom' Buick is getting some brake work done.. the Mustang is having some carburetor work done, the Coupe is undergoing some tweaking.. and we even snuck in a pic of what's out in the showroom, just for kicks. LOL!
